DDO VIP

I did it - I'm VIP at DDO now.  I've already opened up The Catacombs, Delera's Tomb, Phiarlan Carnival & Ruins of Gianthold plus I have also bought the Warforged Race & an extra character slot a few year back with my DDO points.

I will be VIP for the next 3 months on DDO which means 500 points for the next 3 months. When I downgrade to Premium I will have to purchase points again OR become a VIP again.

Benefits of being Premium (when I downgrade) will be: 5 character slots (instead of 2 slots, 3 with the one I purchased already. That will give me a total of 6 slots per server.). 50 auctions, unlimited mail and unlimited gold storage. Idle logout will be 20 minutes. Volume I Monster Manual (and not just the Prologue as F2P gets). Full access of the forums. Buyback items now 40 not just the 10 the F2P gets.

VIP benefits gets a lot more. You can look at the account comparisons here.

DDO Information

DDO F2P Classes: Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Rouge, Sorcerer, Wizard.

DDO P2P Classes: Artificer, Druid, Favored Soul, Monk, Warlock.

DDO F2P Races: Dwarf, Elf, Halfling, Human, *Drow if you make 400 favor points, per sever (does not unlock for all servers)

DDO P2P Races: Aasimar, Dragonborn, Gnome, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Tiefling, Warforged, Wood Elf, *Drow if you pay to unlock, will unlock on all servers.

DDO Iconic Races: Aasimar Scourge, Bladeforged, Deep Gnome, Purple Dragon Knight, Tiefling Scoundrel, Shadar-kai, Sun Elf (Morninglord).

*Cross-classing aka Multi-classing is available for F2P & P2P.

DDO Leveling & Ranking system - there is a reason behind this; it has to do with our enchantments, action points, ability points etc...

Yes you cap out at level 20 F2P BUT you are rank 96 - in a way, it's like being level 96. One would have to play DDO to understand. It will make perfect sense when one becomes a member and starts leveling and ranking. 30 cap for those P2P.

A player can delay having the character learn their next level and still gain ranks toward the subsequent level, but is not able to use the action points earned until that previous level is learned at a trainer.

DDO Soundtrack

In 2015, I uploaded all the DDO music to YouTube that I had. Yesterday I uploaded the Opening Cinematic and 7 more pieces of DDO music (the 7 Three Barrel Cove pieces).

This is the playlist  I uploaded on YouTube for all of the DDO music I have, some of this music is still available for downloading on their website. I started the list with the Opening Cinematic - seem appropriate.

DDO & LotRO Years

Doing some figuring on my gaming I realize how long I've been with DDO & LotRO - both games I tried out and loved when in the subscription-based models and fell in love with both. When they became F2P models I was able to become a full time member to both. DDO I haven't really put money into it (yet) for all these years (sadly) but I have with LotRO.

DDO went F2P in 2009 so I've been with them for 10 years now - my first MMO RPG home.

LotRO went to beta test for F2P in 2010 and I was on Bullroarer for a year beta testing. Then they went live in 2011 with F2P I ended up on Crickhollow. So this year I'll be 8 years live, 9 years total with LotRO.

10 years of DDO -- 8 years of LotRO (live), plus 1 year beta tester -- 9 years grand total of LotRO.

A long time to be with Turbine Inc. games - but I love them... Here's to many more years with both!!

10 years with DDO
9 years grand total with LotRO (8 years live, 1 year beta tester).
